JavaScript Job: Content Specialist

THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated, talented, and technically capable content creator to design and build learning activities for students in our platform. You will be managing the development of materials from initial scoping stages, through drafting and narrative design, and finally in implementation through our proprietary authoring tool.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identifying learning aspects to be taught and practised within a given topic for students in the K-10 age range
• Working with a range of international curriculum documents to assess what needs to be taught, and at what level
• Working with the team to propose and execute upon pedagogically rigorous and intrinsically engaging mathematics activities
• Creating content items aligned with Matific's pedagogical principles
• Using our proprietary tool (built on JavaScript) to implement student tasks
• Using storytelling and composition skills to create engaging experiences
• Working with artists to create mathematically precise assets
• Working with developers to articulate additional functionality required to deliver on educational objectives

• A passion for teaching mathematics
• Teaching or tutoring experience in mathematics
• Some familiarity with at least one programming language
• Attention to detail
• Creativity and enthusiasm
• Excellent communication skills
• Eagerness to work as part of a highly collaborative and lively team
• Ability to give robust and honest feedback, and the resilience to receive it
